March 25, 2024 (VPPR) Downers Grove, Illinois – The P4 Companies (P4) has announced that former Executive Vice President and Principal Steve Vitale will now lead the company as its new President, succeeding Larry Doria. The Downers Grove-based security firm was founded in 2014 by Doria who will still maintain the role of CEO.
As of Friday, March 22, Vitale has taken the helm of all operations and divisions within P4, encompassing the highly regarded Neighborhood Patrols staffed by off-duty police officers in nearly a dozen Chicago neighborhoods. These patrols enhance security for both residents and the general public through collaborations with multiple police departments, including Chicago’s, and partnerships with private sector industries.

Prior to joining P4 in 2020, Vitale managed more than 15,000 frontline staff for a global security firm and played a pivotal role in enhancing the region’s integrated guarding program, sales leadership, and operational efficiencies – while overseeing an $800 million security portfolio. Apart from his profession, Steve is involved with Strong Futures in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood, which helps to address the needs of young adult males who are justice-involved or face other barriers to stability.
