Paul is a Principal and Executive Vice President of P4 Companies, bringing with him an impressive 25+ year background spanning the military and private sectors. His role involves guiding the company in areas such as training, compliance, daily operations, establishing partner relationships, crafting strategic growth plans, and new program development.

An avid learner, Paul has diligently acquired numerous certifications and completed programs from institutions such as FEMA, FBI, DHS, and ASIS International, amongst other private organizations. His career in the private sector began with one of the largest security firms in the industry, where he steadily climbed the ranks within the Chicago BOMA market. His hard work and leadership eventually led to his appointment as the Director of Safety and Security for the University of Chicago.

Paul’s private security experience includes managing large-scale teams and playing an instrumental role in the planning, oversight, and implementation of numerous high-stakes security management events. Some notable examples include: the NATO Security Conference, President Obama’s election night coverage, the ASIS International Conference, Chicago Bears on-field security deployment, the Chicago Cubs World Series victory parade, the 2024 Democratic National Convention — where he oversaw floor security operations and venue access deployments — multiple visits by celebrities and political dignitaries, numerous controversial guest speaking engagements, active threat responses, several University convocations, and spontaneous civil disturbance assignments. Paul has also helped coordinate large-scale executive protection details for high-level executives and politicians throughout the United States and internationally.

In the military, Paul served 5 years as an Army Ranger, deploying five times in support of the Global War on Terror. In his time at 3rd Ranger Battalion/75th Ranger Regiment, he rose to the rank of Sergeant and Team Leader. Paul is a proud graduate of the U.S. Army’s top leadership course, Ranger School.

As a civilian, his active involvement extends to various professional bodies. He has served as the President of the Illinois Security Professionals Association, Chair of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police Public/Private Liaison Committee, and the 2nd Vice President of the Special Agents Association. He has been awarded the esteemed Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from ASIS International.
