Steve Castans comes to P4 with over 30 years in law enforcement and 20 years in private security.
Steve started his career in law enforcement with Cook County where he attained the rank of Patrolman, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Commander, and Chief of Police for 20 years. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, 153 Session; Northwestern Traffic Institute, School of Police Staff and Command; and the University of Kentucky, Southern Police Institute. Upon leaving Cook County, Steve spent the remainder of his Law Enforcement career as the Chief Investigator for the Illinois Secretary of State Office.
Upon his retirement from law enforcement, Steve joined Security Management and Investigations as Vice President and Principal where he managed high-rise and BOMA accounts for the Chicago downtown and suburban areas.
In 2018, Steve was awarded the BOMA Gold Circle Award for Security Professional of the Year.
Steve is a certified Fire Safety Director from the City of Chicago and is highly regarded as an expert in high-rise security and fire life safety.
