Mary Tylus
Mary Therese Tylus, M.A. serves as P4 Security’s Senior Corporate Trainer. She brings over 32 years of corporate training experience to her position. She has specialized experience in developing and presenting training programs to security agencies, corporations, and businesses, focusing on security, safety, workplace violence prevention, evacuations and drills, and other critical topics. She has developed “Floor Warden” policies, procedures, and training programs to prepare clients to address emergencies such as fire, weather emergencies, violent intruder, and evacuations.
In addition to her Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology, she also holds a Management Certification and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Psychology, all from Loyola University of Chicago. In addition, she has completed numerous Emergency Response courses. Her policies, programs, and training have been developed in compliance with requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS).
She has also designed custom-tailored training customer service, first responder, and security-related classes for security officers and other public and private clients. These courses have included CPR, AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and First Responder training for medical emergencies. She has also assisted clients in designing and conducting security assessments of their facilities, planning and executing disciplinary meetings, and conducting background investigations, and interviewing prospective candidates for employment.
Mary is also currently a member of both ASIS International and the Chicago Chapter, serving as a current Officer in the Chapter, the Illinois Security Professionals Association (ISPA), the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Infragard Chicago Chapter, and The Reid Institute of Reid Trained Investigators.
